Canopy addresses this by ingesting data across formats including PDF, Excel, CSV, SWIFT, and direct custodian datafeeds, normalising it into a single reporting environment that covers financial and non-financial assets alike. Founded by a former Deutsche Bank credit trading Managing Director, the firm is headquartered in Singapore with offices in Zug and New York, and claims to serve four of the twenty wealthiest family offices as ranked by Bloomberg.

The platform is built around three core modules: Visualiser for daily portfolio monitoring, Analytics for custom performance and risk analysis, and Reporter for generating client-ready output in PDF or PowerPoint. The Manager product, aimed at family office managers and external asset managers, adds multi-client oversight, strategy construction, and billing tools. Specific capabilities include:

• Performance attribution via the Explainer module, which breaks down realized and unrealized gains, fund flows, and FX revaluations at the security level
• Ownership structure and family tree mapping to support wealth transfer planning
• Accounting software export to Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage via Chart of Accounts and General Ledger data
• Pro-forma cashflow projections from bond and equity holdings, sourced from Bloomberg
• An end-client portal for direct investor access

Canopy accepts computer-generated PDFs and electronic data but does not process scanned statements, which limits ingestion for custodians without structured output. Data processing for ePDF submissions takes three to five working days, which may not suit teams requiring daily updated views. Pricing is not publicly disclosed, and custom features beyond the standard demo account incur additional subscription costs. The platform supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and German.
