The platform completed over 2,300 transactions totaling more than $200 million in volume, with an average advertised yield above 13.3%. Investors can acquire royalty streams directly from rightsholders or from other investors, with two primary structures available:

• Term-based acquisitions: investor collects income for a fixed period, typically 10 years, after which rights revert to the seller
• Life of Rights acquisitions: investor holds income rights for the duration of the underlying copyright, which extends to the creator’s lifetime plus 70 years
• Standing offers: automated bid criteria that fill positions as matching assets become available
• All Access membership: a paid tier offering in-depth asset analysis, priority access, and discounts

Royalty Exchange vets and verifies all listed assets before they appear on the marketplace, and provides post-sale administration for income collection and distribution. The eXchange order book publishes all offers and completed transactions publicly, which supports price discovery. The platform reports a registered investor base of over 100,000 participants.

For family offices building exposure to uncorrelated income assets, Royalty Exchange offers access to a niche asset class that most allocation frameworks do not address. The trade-off is concentration risk within entertainment and intellectual property, limited secondary liquidity, and investment sizes that skew well below institutional minimums, with examples on the site ranging from $140,000 to just over $1 million per asset. Pricing for premium membership is not publicly disclosed.
